Local Truck Driver

Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently within designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of trucks including roll-off trucks, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers. Duties Operate and drive a forklift, pallet jack and 26 foot box truck Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring all items are secured for transport. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition. Adhere to all local traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a safe driving record. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo transported. Assist in the training of new drivers on safe driving practices and company policies. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or non CDL with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated. Must provide 10 years DMV Driving Record Print out. Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance. Operate and drive a forklift, pallet jack, and 26 foot box truck Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
