Local Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Truck Driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers, including end dumps and pneumatic tanks , ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Safely load, secure, and unload freight, following proper manual handling procedures and cargo handling protocols. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals at designated destinations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or cargo concerns. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on freight delivery across diverse routes. Knowledge of truck loading and unloading techniques. Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for route planning and execution. Understanding of DOT regulations related to driver hours of service, vehicle maintenance, and safety standards. Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits and adherence to all traffic laws. Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
