Seeking Class A truck driver with 6 months or more tractor trailer experience to haul local dedicated freight approximately 250 miles from the yard. This position is no touch. Monday-Friday Start time 6pm $0.59 / $0.57 CPM Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks on local routes, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transportation. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to follow designated routes and optimize delivery schedules. Transport refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized equipment carrying hazardous or dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations. Deliver freight accurately to designated locations, providing excellent customer service and verifying delivery documentation. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery records in accordance with DOT regulations. Requirements Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving within local areas. Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with endorsements relevant to refrigerated trailers, hazardous materials (Hazmat), or tanker loads preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, and hazardous materials handling procedures. Skilled in manual transmission operation and truck loading/unloading techniques. Ability to operate GPS navigation systems efficiently and adapt to changing routes as needed. Strong manual handling skills for safe cargo loading and unloading processes. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance; previous experience with over-the-road (OTR) routes is advantageous but not mandatory for local drivers.
