Local Route Driver

Position Summary Meats by Linz is seeking a dependable and professional Local Route Driver to join our Dallas team. The Local Route Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering meat and food products to customers throughout the Dallas area and surrounding markets. This position requires excellent customer service, safe driving practices, attention to detail, and the ability to handle products in a refrigerated/frozen environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate company delivery vehicles while following all DOT, company, and traffic regulations. Deliver meat and food products to customers along assigned local routes. Load, unload, and properly secure products for transportation. Verify orders and delivery quantities against invoices, manifests, or delivery documents. Obtain customer signatures and accurately document deliveries. Provide professional and courteous customer service at each delivery location. Communicate with the warehouse and management regarding delivery issues, delays, shortages, or damaged products. Inspect the vehicle before and after each route and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle. Properly handle refrigerated and frozen products to help maintain product quality and food-safety standards. Follow all company GMP, food-safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Assist with warehouse or loading activities when needed. Complete required delivery, mileage, fuel, and vehicle documentation. Perform other duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious, customer-focused driver who takes pride in representing Meats by Linz professionally at every customer location. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently while meeting delivery schedules. Valid driver's license with a clean and acceptable driving record. Previous delivery, route driving, commercial driving, or warehouse experience preferred. Ability to safely operate a company delivery vehicle. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to read and verify invoices, delivery documents, and product quantities. Ability to work independently while maintaining an assigned route and schedule. Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential. Must be comfortable working in refrigerated and/or freezer environments. Must be able to safely lift, carry, push, and pull products throughout the workday. Ability to follow food-safety, DOT, and company policies and procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to frequently lift and carry products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds . Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and climb in and out of a delivery vehicle throughout the workday. Ability to work in varying temperatures, including refrigerated and freezer environments. Must be able to safely perform loading and unloading duties. Work Environment This position involves both driving and physical warehouse/delivery work . The driver may be exposed to refrigerated and freezer temperatures, loading docks, warehouse traffic, and varying weather conditions while making local deliveries.
