Local Roll-Off Driver

Overview As a Local Roll-Off Driver, you’ll operate a roll-off truck to collect and deliver waste containers along assigned routes. You’ll work outdoors, follow safe loading and unloading practices, and provide courteous service to customers. Your impact: Safe, reliable pickups help customers manage waste and keep collection routes moving. Responsibilities Drive roll-off trucks on local routes and position vehicles safely at pickup and delivery sites. Load and unload containers, secure loads, and follow safety protocols and hazardous materials regulations. Follow traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and applicable state transportation requirements. Communicate professionally with customers and report vehicle or equipment concerns. Support solid waste management and municipal waste management operations; experience with garbage trucks, front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, or front-end loaders may be useful. Experience Valid class B commercial truck drivers license; route driving and delivery driver experience are relevant. Knowledge of defensive driving, manual transmissions, and air brakes. Mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. Outdoor work experience and a commitment to safety protocol adherence. Familiarity with hazardous materials regulations and waste operations is preferred.
