Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck for local deliveries, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while practicing safe lifting practices. Manage delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of goods across designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with all operational standards. Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records using mobile devices or onboard systems. Assist with warehouse operations when needed, including material handling and moving inventory within the warehouse environment. Experience Prior experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations is highly preferred. Proven ability to operate commercial trucks and box trucks with manual transmission is a plus. Familiarity with manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks or material handling tools. Knowledge of safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and weight handling in the workplace. Experience adhering to DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety protocols during commercial driving activities. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally. Valid driver’s license suitable for operating a box truck or van driver role; commercial driving experience is advantageous.
