Overview As a Local Owner Operator, you’ll use your commercial truck and driving expertise to move freight safely and reliably on local routes. You’ll plan deliveries with GPS navigation, manage cargo handling, and keep your equipment ready for the road. Your impact: Careful, on-time delivery helps customers receive their freight safely and keeps local supply chains moving. Duties Drive a tractor-trailer on local routes and, as needed, over-the-road (OTR) driving routes; complete delivery driving and route driving assignments. Load and unload freight, secure cargo, and perform manual handling in line with cargo and equipment requirements. Transport varied loads, which may include automobile transportation, refrigerated trailer freight, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, or roll-off truck assignments, as applicable. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations when handling dangerous goods or hazmat loads. Inspect and maintain the truck and trailer, document deliveries, and coordinate logistics cargo handling, including forklift operations when required. Requirements Required: Valid commercial driving credentials and experience with commercial truck driving, truck driving, delivery driving, and tractor-trailer operation; able to drive a manual transmission. Required: Knowledge of safe driving practices, load and unload procedures, truck loading and unloading, and applicable DOT and FMCSA requirements. Required: Ability to use GPS navigation, handle freight safely, and meet physical demands of manual handling. Preferred: Delivery driver experience and familiarity with refrigerated trailers, automobile transportation, OTR routes, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, roll-off truck, forklift, hazmat, and dangerous goods. Preferred: Experience with freight logistics and hazardous materials regulations. Pay: $2,900.00 - $6,500.00 per week Work Location: In person
