Corrigan is a family-owned, professional moving and logistics company with more than 95 years of experience. As one of the largest agents for United Van Lines, we specialize in household, commercial, and specialized moving services.
This is not a driving-only position. You'll spend approximately 25% of your time driving and 75% working alongside your crew, loading, unloading, protecting customer belongings, and overseeing moving operations.
What You'll Do
Driving & Transportation
• Safely operate a 26-foot straight truck on local routes.
• Transport household goods, office furniture, equipment, and other customer belongings.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding schedules, job progress, and transportation needs.
Crew Leadership & Moving Operations
• Lead and supervise moving crews at residential and commercial job sites.
• Work alongside your crew to load, unload, pack, wrap, and protect customer belongings.
• Assign tasks and help ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Conduct customer walkthroughs and address questions or concerns professionally.
• Ensure accurate inventory, proper handling of belongings, and completion of moving paperwork.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and customer-focused work environment.

Schedule & Work Environment
• Work schedules may fall Monday through Saturday, depending on business needs.
• Typical start time between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM.
• End times vary depending on daily moving schedules and job completion.
• Weekly hours may fluctuate based on available work and seasonal demand.
• Work takes place at residential homes, commercial buildings, warehouses, and other customer locations.
• This is a physically demanding, hands-on position requiring frequent lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
• Valid driver's license. A CDL is not required.
• At least 1 year of professional box truck or straight truck driving experience.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to successfully complete a DOT physical, BG check, and applicable drug screening.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding moving tasks.
• Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to lead by example and work alongside the moving crew throughout the day.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous moving and storage industry experience.
• Experience supervising crews, leading teams, or training employees.
• Familiarity with moving equipment, loading procedures, furniture protection, and inventory documentation.
• Experience driving a 26-foot box truck or straight truck.
