Position Overview We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Garbage Truck Driver to join our growing team. This position involves operating a residential garbage truck on established routes two days per week , with the remaining days focused on operating a hook truck or roll-off truck to deliver and pick up dumpsters. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, and maintains a professional, clean appearance for both themselves and their truck. Responsibilities Operate a rear-load garbage truck on assigned residential routes. Create and maintain efficient, safe routes for trash collection. Collect and empty customer trash cans accurately and on schedule. Operate hook-lift or roll-off trucks to deliver and retrieve dumpsters as needed. Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections. Maintain the truck in a clean, presentable, and mechanically sound condition. Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers as needed. Follow all DOT, safety, and company regulations. Qualifications Valid Class B CDL. Clean driving record with DOT medical card. Prior experience operating garbage, hook, or roll-off trucks preferred. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Strong attention to safety and equipment care. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical outdoor work in all weather conditions.
