Local Flatbed driver
ConfidentialAMH&G INC. is seeking a Local Flatbed Driver to safely transport freight and support timely deliveries. Position Summary As a Local Flatbed Driver with AMH&G INC., you will operate a flatbed truck to deliver freight to regional destinations while maintaining strict safety standards and providing reliable service. This role is focused on consistent, on-time performance and careful handling of loads. You will be responsible for pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing cargo properly for transit, and communicating effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure smooth delivery operations. Pay is based off percentage of the load. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a flatbed truck, following all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting any issues and escalating concerns as needed. Secure and properly tarp cargo to ensure safe transit and compliance with load requirements. Maintain accurate logs and delivery records, ensuring all paperwork is complete and timely. Coordinate with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery schedules, route information, and any shipment updates. Required Qualifications Valid CDL with a minimum 2 years experience. Able to pass a drug test. Strong understanding of safe driving practices and basic vehicle inspection procedures. Ability to perform tasks related to loading, securing, and inspecting freight. Reliable attendance and a commitment to on-time, customer-focused service. Live within 30 miles of Asheboro, NC. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with freight handling practices and securing methods for non-standard or heavy loads. Experience driving locally with a strong focus on safe, consistent delivery performance. Ability to troubleshoot minor vehicle or equipment issues and report them promptly. Experience maintaining accurate driving and delivery documentation under standard compliance requirements.
