LOCAL DRIVER 16 FT BOBTAIL

Overview As a Local Driver for a 16-foot bobtail truck, you’ll keep deliveries moving safely and reliably. You’ll drive assigned routes, handle customer deliveries, and coordinate loading and unloading with warehouse teams. This role may involve box truck, van, courier, or personal vehicle delivery work, depending on assigned routes and equipment. Duties Drive local delivery routes and follow traffic regulations and applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. Load and unload goods, move materials, and use a pallet jack or other material handling equipment when needed. Apply safe lifting practices when handling heavy items and follow workplace weight-handling procedures. Use mobile devices to review route details, record delivery information, and communicate updates. Provide courteous customer service and coordinate with warehouse operations to support accurate, timely deliveries. Qualifications Experience in delivery driving, commercial truck driving, commercial driving, or as a delivery driver, van driver, or courier is preferred. Warehouse experience, warehouse operations, and material handling experience are helpful. Ability to drive a box truck and, where required, a vehicle with manual transmission; personal vehicle delivery experience is also relevant. Comfortable with driving, route driving, moving, manual handling, load and unload tasks, and heavy lifting using safe lifting practices. Familiarity with pallet jacks, material handling equipment, mobile devices, DOT regulations, traffic rules, and workplace weight-handling procedures is an asset. Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week Work Location: In person
