Local CLD-A Truck Driver One-Way

Overview As a Local CLD-A Truck Driver One-Way, you’ll move freight safely and efficiently on assigned one-way routes with customer pick ups in VA, MD, and NC. This also may include occasional interstate trips. You’ll operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, and may handle refrigerated trailers or other equipment based on the load. Your impact: Careful driving and cargo handling help customers receive freight safely and on schedule. Duties Drive local routes and, as assigned, over-the-road (OTR) routes using GPS navigation and route guidance. Transport freight trailer positioning and complete delivery driving tasks in accordance with applicable DOT requirements and company policies Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Operate applicable equipment, which may include refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers. Maintain accurate delivery, trip, and hours-of-service records as applicable Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, including hazardous materials rules when transporting hazmat or dangerous goods. Qualifications Required: Valid commercial driver’s license appropriate for the role and ability to operate commercial trucks; experience with truck driving, commercial driving, and manual-transmission vehicles is valued. Delivery driver experience and route driving experience are preferred. Familiarity with tractor-trailers, freight, truck loading and unloading, and safe cargo handling is an asset. Ability to work the assigned weekday schedule and any confirmed additional hours Ability to follow safety procedures and applicable driving regulations, be dependable and have strong communication skills.
