LOCAL class A CDL Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and reliable LOCAL Class A CDL Driver to join our team. This role involves commercial truck driving with a focus on local deliveries, primarily within the port and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating manual transmission trucks in compliance with DOT regulations, ensuring timely and secure deliveries. This position offers consistent Monday through Friday schedules with optional Saturday runs, providing a stable and predictable work environment.Must have TWIC or able to get One . Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions for local delivery routes. Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards at all times. Perform drop-and-hook deliveries, with some live unloads as required. Manage timely pickups and deliveries within designated local areas, including port facilities (port experience is preferred but not mandatory). Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle condition reports. Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel to coordinate delivery schedules. Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety on the road. Skills Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record. Experience in commercial truck driving, preferably with port-related deliveries. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures related to commercial trucking. Strong time management skills to meet delivery deadlines consistently. Good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and dispatchers. Dependability and a strong commitment to safety standards.
