Location: Tampa, FL Schedule: Full-time, 40–48 hours per week Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Local CDL Driver to support our Tampa operations. This position is responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of trailers at our main facility, shuttling equipment between the main location and staging yard, and maintaining accurate yard inventory at both locations. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and proactive in ensuring equipment is available, accounted for, and in suitable condition for loading. Key Responsibilities Trailer Availability: Ensure the main facility always has an adequate supply of trailers available, either positioned at loading doors or parked in the designated yard area. Local Shuttle Operations: Transport trailers and equipment between the main facility and staging yard as needed to support daily operations. Yard Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of trailers and equipment at both the onsite facility and staging yard, including tracking trailer locations, movements, and availability. Equipment Organization: Keep both yards organized and ensure trailers are properly positioned for efficient access and use. Equipment Inspections: Identify trailers or equipment with visible damage or issues that make them unsuitable for loading. Damage Reporting and Tagging: Clearly tag damaged or unsafe equipment and report issues promptly to the appropriate operations team to prevent it from being used until cleared. Operational Coordination: Communicate with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and operations management regarding trailer needs, inventory discrepancies, equipment movements, and maintenance concerns. Safety Compliance: Follow all company safety procedures, yard rules, and applicable DOT regulations. Additional Duties: Perform other local driving, trailer movements, and yard-related tasks as needed. Qualifications Valid CDL appropriate for the equipment being operated. Safe driving record and commitment to workplace safety. Previous experience with trailer shuttling, yard operations, or equipment inventory preferred. Ability to safely maneuver and position trailers in tight spaces. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and communicate equipment status clearly. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Schedule Weekly Schedule: 40–48 hours per week. Full-time, local position supporting the Tampa facility and staging yard. Overtime paid in accordance with applicable law and company policy. Primary Objective Maintain continuous trailer availability, accurate yard inventory, and safe, organized equipment operations at both the main Tampa facility and staging yard to support uninterrupted daily loading and transportation activities.
