Local CDL Class A Truck Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Local CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating tractor-trailers within local routes to deliver freight efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, with experience handling various types of loads and trailers including flatbed, tanker, and roll-off trucks. This position offers the opportunity to work close to home while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across designated local routes Deliver goods to customers efficiently while adhering to scheduled routes and delivery windows Handle various types of trailers including flatbed, tanker, and roll-off trucks Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation in accordance with company policies Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during driving operations Assist with route planning to optimize delivery efficiency and fuel consumption Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status or issues Requirements Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record with 2 plus years experience Experience with manual transmission trucks preferred Proven experience in truck driving, including freight delivery, route driving, and load & unload operations Familiarity with various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is a plus Ability to operate additional equipment like forklifts is desirable Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards for commercial drivers Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and customer service Perform vehicle inspections as needed Must be 25 years or older This position is essential for ensuring the timely and safe transportation of freight within local areas.
