Local CDL Class A/B Truck Driver
Major Brands Oil CompanyThe person in this position will perform as Fleet Driver and assist as needed with warehouse operations. He or she will be a focal point for our customers, with the primary focus on the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of customer lubricant and oils. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience handling fluid products- with knowledge of oils and lubricants a plus. This person must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and effectively use all supporting equipment. Forklift certification is required- or the ability to attain post hire. They will have prior driving experience with similar equipment, with fluids delivery being a big plus. Our fleet includes bulk squirt trucks and box trucks. We require our drivers to possess at least a CDL- B license with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements. Drivers must have the ability/licensing to operate a manual transmission. The right candidate may be able to acquire those endorsements upon hiring. A satisfactory background and drug test are mandatory for employment. Key Responsibilities Adhere to company policies, processes, and procedures Load outbound customer deliveries Deliver our product safely to the customer Document each delivery and keep paperwork organized Ensure that the product is intact and meets customer expectations Maintain the upkeep of the warehouse equipment Follow OSHA standards within the warehouse Desired Experience 2+ years driving trucks containing either bulk fluid products or packaged materials Clean driving record from the DMV Ability to pass a drug and background screen Experience handling loads that contain hazardous materials HS diploma or equivalent, any college coursework is a plus Forklift certification will be necessary CDL-B license required Desired Skills Must be able to work as a team member and individually Excellent driving abilities including tight maneuvers Be able to be on your feet for 8-10 hours a day Attention to detail and basic math skills Strong verbal communication skills Must be able to load and unload all product, using pallet jack and liftgate Demonstrated ability to use all job-related equipment Ability to read, interpret, and contribute to routes Eligibility Requirements: Capable of being based from a warehouse in Madison Heights, MI.
