ProDriversHiring Now: CDL A Yard Switcher | $25/Hour + OT ProDrivers is currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL A-licensed Yard Switcher to join our team in Detroit MI beginning January 2027. As a Yard Switcher for us, you’ll operate a yard truck and move trailers with a company that values your time and expertise. Our ideal CDL A Yard Switcher has at least 9 months of recent switching experience and is confident operating within a busy yard Schedule Monday through Friday (occasional Saturdays) AM shift: 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM PM shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Midnight shift: 11 PM to 7:00 AM Pay & Benefits $25/hour with overtime after 40 hours Weekly pay (direct deposit) Holiday pay after 60 days PTO and paid sick leave Medical, dental, and vision coverage Life insurance & short-term disability options Truck Driver Job Responsibilities Operate yard hostler with automatic transmissions Move trailers within busy work site Perform complete pre-shift and post-shift inspection of yard hostler to ensure safety and DOT compliance Backing skills a must Truck Driver Requirements Minimum 9 months of recent, verifiable Class A switching experience Valid Class A CDL Up to date DOT medical card Strong safety record and clean MVR This position is ideal for a Yard Switcher who wants predictable hours and to be home every day.
