About the Job We haul a variety of general freight using flatbed trailers, including steel, solar equipment, forklifts, foam board, and other building and industrial materials. Our primary operating areas include Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky , with typical runs averaging approximately 300 miles one way. Home most nights: Our goal is to get you home daily. Depending on the workload and schedule, occasional overnight trips may be required. Local and regional routes: Run established lanes throughout our service area. Reload opportunities: Depending on the day's schedule, reloads may be available to help keep you moving. Variety of work: In addition to regional deliveries, some assignments may include loading or staging trailers for OTR drivers or relaying loaded trailers to drivers continuing the trip. Flatbed freight: Secure and transport a variety of freight while maintaining safe loading and securement practices. This position offers a mix of local and regional work, with routes and assignments that can vary based on customer needs and the day's schedule. Job Responsibilities Safely operate a tractor-trailer and transport flatbed freight throughout assigned routes. Properly load, secure, inspect, and transport freight in accordance with DOT regulations and company procedures. Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections. Maintain accurate electronic logs, delivery paperwork, and other required records. Communicate with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding load status, delivery times, and route changes. Monitor equipment condition and report mechanical issues to our in-house maintenance team. Follow all applicable FMCSA, DOT, and company safety requirements. Represent GGM Transport professionally with customers and fellow drivers. Driver Requirements Valid Class A CDL. At least 3 years of CDL driving experience. Clean driving record with no accidents. Flatbed experience preferred. Knowledge of load securement and safe cargo handling. Dependable, professional, and safety-conscious attitude. Willingness to work local and regional routes, with occasional overnight stays as needed. SAP program participants are welcome to apply.
