Loading Dock Supervisor

Overview As a Loading Dock Supervisor, you’ll coordinate daily warehouse operations across your assigned loading dock, keeping shipping and receiving organized, safe, and moving smoothly. You’ll oversee inventory control, and work with warehouse staff to ensure accurate shipping a receiving of green fruit cargo Responsibilities Lead and assign dock work, communicate priorities, and support team performance. Oversee shipping and receiving, inventory management, and warehouse distribution using inventory management systems and a warehouse management system (WMS). Use scanners and Microsoft Office tools to track shipments, update records, and resolve discrepancies. Operate or oversee forklifts and other material handling equipment; follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements and safe heavy-lifting practices. Review warehouse processes, identify opportunities for process improvement, and apply lean management principles. Qualifications Warehouse experience, including warehouse operations, inventory control, materials handling, and shipping and receiving. Warehouse supervisor experience or demonstrated team leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of logistics, distribution center operations, warehouse management, and inventory systems. Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment, and to perform heavy lifting safely. Clear managerial communication and working knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with RF scanners, WMS tools, or lean management is preferred.
