Loader/Unloader

Job Overview Movers Unlimited, Inc. is looking for a reliable and hardworking Loader/Unloader to assist with the safe handling, loading, unloading, and organization of furniture, boxes, equipment, and other items. This is an entry-level position suitable for individuals who enjoy active, hands-on work and working as part of a team. Training will be provided, and previous moving or warehouse experience is not required. The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, careful with customer property, and willing to learn proper handling and loading procedures. Responsibilities Load furniture, boxes, household items, and other materials onto trucks Unload items safely at delivery locations Carry and move items between designated areas Arrange items inside trucks to maximize available space Use proper lifting and handling techniques Protect furniture and other items during loading and transportation Wrap, pad, and secure items when necessary Check items for visible damage before and after handling Assist with staging items for loading or delivery Follow instructions from drivers, supervisors, and moving team members Maintain organized loading and unloading areas Assist with securing cargo and checking loads before departure Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe Report damaged or missing items promptly Follow company safety procedures and operational guidelines Perform other moving and material-handling duties as assigned Requirements Ability to lift and carry heavy items safely Comfortable with physical, hands-on work Good attention to detail Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to follow instructions carefully Good teamwork and communication skills Responsible approach to handling customer property Ability to work in different environments and locations Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the workday About the Position The Loader/Unloader plays an important role in keeping moving and delivery operations running smoothly. This position is ideal for someone who prefers active work over sitting at a desk and wants to build practical experience in moving services, transportation, material handling, and logistics.
