About Lone Star Supply Lone Star Supply of Abilene is a locally owned construction supply business serving homeowners, contractors, builders, and other customers throughout the Abilene area. We offer a variety of products including cabinets, doors, windows, butcher block, vinyl plank flooring, and other construction and remodeling supplies. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys physical work, stays productive, and takes pride in helping customers. The primary responsibilities include loading and unloading building materials, helping customers load their purchases, assisting with deliveries, organizing products, and keeping the warehouse and property clean and organized. The ideal candidate is physically capable, dependable, comfortable working with customers, and willing to help wherever needed. What You'll Do Loading, Unloading & Material Handling: Load cabinets, doors, windows, flooring, and other building materials into customer vehicles and delivery trucks. Help customers safely load their purchases. Unload incoming shipments and move products into storage areas. Prepare customer orders for pickup and delivery. Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks. Handle products carefully to prevent damage. Move heavy and oversized materials using proper lifting techniques and available equipment. Warehouse & General Responsibilities: Keep the warehouse, storage areas, and outside property clean and organized. Help receive, sort, and organize incoming inventory. Assist with stocking and moving products as needed. Help maintain warehouse equipment, tools, and supplies. Assist with general store and property maintenance. Help other team members with daily tasks and responsibilities. Customer Service & Team Support: Greet and assist customers picking up building materials and supplies. Help customers locate products and load their purchases. Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, builders, and delivery personnel. Work with sales staff to ensure customer orders are ready for pickup or delivery. Maintain a friendly, helpful attitude and represent Lone Star Supply professionally. Take initiative and stay productive throughout the workday. The ideal candidate will have: Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move building materials and other products. Ability to handle moderately heavy and occasionally bulky or oversized items. Dependability and a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and basic customer service skills. Willingness to help with a variety of tasks throughout the business. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday. Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors. Professional attitude and reliable transportation. Willingness and ability to work Saturdays. Preferred, But Not Required Experience in any of the following is a plus: Warehouse or material handling: Construction or building materials Loading and unloading trucks Forklift or pallet jack operation Delivery or shipping and receiving Lumberyard or building supply experience General construction or remodeling Customer service Previous warehouse or construction experience is helpful, but not required. We're more interested in finding someone who is reliable, hardworking, has a good attitude, and takes pride in doing a good job. Schedule Lone Star Supply is generally open: Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Saturday: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM This position requires Saturday availability. The specific weekly schedule can be discussed during the interview. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour Work Location: In person
