Loader/Unloader

Job Summary: DESERT CARGO EXPRESS is seeking a reliable and physically capable Loader/Unloader to support daily logistics and warehouse operations. The position is responsible for safely loading and unloading cargo, organizing freight, and preparing shipments for transportation while maintaining accurate and efficient material handling processes. Key Responsibilities: Load and unload freight from trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles. Move, stack, and organize cargo safely within warehouse and loading areas. Inspect shipments for visible damage and report discrepancies to supervisors. Verify cargo quantities and match shipments with relevant documentation. Secure freight properly to prevent damage during transportation. Assist with staging shipments for pickup and delivery. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe loading area. Follow company procedures and workplace safety regulations. Operate basic material-handling equipment when authorized and trained. Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and logistics personnel. Qualifications: Previous warehouse, freight, or material-handling experience is preferred. Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy packages and cargo. Good attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic. Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions. Forklift or material-handling equipment experience is a plus.
