ers for daily freight volumes Match available loads with the most cost-effective and reliable carrier based on lane, equipment, and service requirements Negotiate carrier rates within approved margin targets Build and maintain relationships with a reliable carrier base across key lanes Monitor loads in transit and proactively resolve delays, service failures, or exceptions with carriers Communicate pickup/delivery details, appointments, and special instructions to carriers Verify carrier compliance (insurance, authority, safety rating) before booking Maintain accurate load, rate, and carrier data in the TMS (Transportation Management System) Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to meet client SLAs Track carrier performance (on-time %, claims, compliance) and flag issues to management Ensure compliance with cross-border (Canada/US) documentation requirements where applicable Support continuous improvement of carrier sourcing and margin optimization Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in freight brokerage or carrier sourcing/procurement (3PL environment required or strongly preferred) Strong understanding of the North American third-party carrier market, including cross-border freight Proficiency with TMS software and Microsoft Excel Excellent negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Bilingual (English/French) is an asset Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA and Transport Canada regulations is a plus What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunity to grow within a multi-division logistics company Collaborative, fast-paced team environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
