Position: Load Planner Salary: $28hr-$30hr Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm Location: Colton. CA Summary The Load Planner is at the very center of a fast-paced strategic environment. Our customers require individuals who think strategically and plan ahead of rapidly changing situations while maintaining a positive team oriented attitude. Load Planners must be organized and engaged with the team. Position Responsibilities The Load Planner will manage asset utilization by being responsible for dispatching and effectively planning each individual unit while ensuring high level of customer service and fleet profitability. Additionally, the Load Planners assists, coaches and mentors drivers with all training, administrative items and apply discipline up to and including separation of employment. Conflict Resolution. Extreme Multi-tasking. Contacting Drivers to Swap Loads. Handling urgent situations in a professional manner. Tracking Drivers, Loads, and Receivers. Dealing with multiple customers at once. Managing drivers. Working with Driver Managers, and Service Advisors within C.R. England. Negotiating situations to meet expectations of customers and C.R. England. Dealing with Logistical problems. Planning future workload. Other duties as assigned by the Account Manager / Account Supervisor. Oversee/ Manage freight in Distribution Centers. Energetic, enthusiastic self-starter with excellent organizational, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with minimal supervision, exercise judgment and adapt directions from one assignment to another. Ability to maintain professionalism when communicating with team and management. This job is highly demanding and requires patience and professionalism. Motivated to work in a fast paced environment. Very dependable and takes ownership of work processes Adaptable in a flexible environment. Coordinate with others in the department for awareness of driver, freight, and asset availability. Identify concerns with drivers who may need additional support, coaching, or disciplinary action to supervisors and managers. Track drivers, loads and receivers to ensure dispatching is able to continue to run as planned. Maintain frequent contact with assigned drivers, monitoring call-offs, fatigue concerns and equipment issues. In an OTR training environment, also includes ensuring trainees are working appropriately to next phase of training and placement. With team drivers, ensuring loads assigned are appropriate for teams and hours available. Monitor Hours of Service for dispatching and compliance. In an OTR training environment, efforts should be focused on routing trucks or drivers (solo) with capacity to a terminal for better efficiency.
