Liquor store Supervisor

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Liquor Store Supervisor to lead our retail operations with enthusiasm and professionalism. Duties Lead and supervise the retail team, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating staff to ensure high performance and excellent customer service. Oversee inventory management, including stock ordering, merchandising, stock rotation, and inventory control to maximize sales and minimize shrinkage. Manage daily store operations such as opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) system operation, and bookkeeping tasks. Implement effective sales strategies through pricing adjustments, promotional displays, and merchandising to boost revenue. Ensure compliance with all legal regulations related to alcohol sales, age verification procedures, and store policies. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, provide training on product knowledge, customer service standards, and operational procedures. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels while promoting a safe shopping environment. Skills Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of retail math, inventory control systems, POS systems, and cash handling procedures. Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases. Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, budgeting, and operational management to optimize store profitability. Demonstrated leadership in team management, employee orientation, training & development initiatives. Proficient in retail sales techniques including merchandising, pricing strategies, and upselling. Ability to multitask efficiently with strong organizational skills and time management capabilities. Experience with payroll processing and bookkeeping practices to ensure accurate financial records. Knowledge of retail industry sales team management practices along with supervising experience in a retail setting. Exceptional customer service skills combined with phone etiquette and organizational skills for smooth daily operations.
