Responsibilities Lead and supervise all store operations, including opening, closing, and shift management to ensure smooth daily functioning. Recruit, interview, train, and develop staff to build a motivated and knowledgeable sales team. Manage inventory control through purchasing, stock replenishment, merchandising, and stock rotation to maximize sales potential. Oversee POS (Point of Sale) systems for accurate cash handling, sales processing, and transaction management. Implement effective pricing strategies and promotional displays to attract customers and boost sales performance. Maintain compliance with legal regulations related to alcohol sales, including age verification procedures and licensing requirements. Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure outstanding customer service at all times. Conduct regular audits of inventory levels, bookkeeping records, payroll processing, and store financials to ensure operational efficiency. Develop staff schedules aligned with business needs while managing payroll budgets effectively. Utilize strong communication skills for team management, training sessions, and managerial reporting to upper management. Qualifications Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of retail industry sales techniques, inventory management, POS systems, and cash handling procedures. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in team management and employee development. Proficiency in negotiation, purchasing, merchandising, and pricing strategies. Effective communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases. Experience with bookkeeping, payroll administration, budgeting, and operational management is highly desirable. Previous assistant manager or managerial roles within retail stores are preferred. Knowledge of alcohol regulations and licensing processes is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary.
