fely and efficiently by driving a tractor-trailer from the warehouse to various destinations according to customer invoices and company standards.
SCHEDULE
Typical dispatch starts at 3 a.m. with local routes allowing you to return home at night. Longer routes, such as those to Spokane, may require a layover.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Safely transport products from the warehouse to customer locations, ensuring timely delivery per assigned routes.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork according to company and government regulations, including DOT logs, inspections, and invoices.
• Adhere to all food safety standards, ensuring proper temperatures are maintained during transport.
• Promote safety by following preferred work methods and notifying management of any unsafe conditions.
• Maintain and operate assigned equipment safely, including pallets and personal protective equipment.
• Build strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional service and clear communication.
• Proactively communicate with management regarding any routing issues, customer concerns, or product discrepancies.
• Work according to assigned schedules and adjust to meet customer needs, displaying regular and punctual attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent degree along with 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience preferred. Completion of a tractor-trailer driving school is also acceptable.
Certifications:
A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License is required, and you must be insurable to operate a vehicle throughout your employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Understanding of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines.
• Proven skills in long-distance driving, navigating various terrains and weather conditions, and customer communication.
• Ability to remain alert and aware while driving day and night.
• Competency in managing work activities independently and solving problems effectively.
• Capability to operate a 3-axle tractor and 45'-48' trailer, along with onboard computers and hand carts.
Physical Demands
• Regularly sit, talk, and hear while performing driving duties.
• Occasionally lift or move products weighing up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 350 pounds with a hand cart.
• Climb in and out of a tractor and trailer as required.
• Meet vision requirements for driving, including close and distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment
As a Linehaul Driver, you will be exposed to varying weather conditions, including wet and extreme temperatures. You may also experience mechanical movement and confined spaces while working during overnight schedules, including weekends and holidays to meet customer needs. Please be advised that this role may require working during overtime hours and at varied start times.
