Baxters North AmericaSummary Of Job Interact with forklift drivers, warehouse employees, and supervisors to maintain and ensure all lines are stocked with correct product. Major Duties & Responsibilities Set Up Arrive 30 minutes before line employees. Verify with Line lead and MPC for daily menu and line set up Verify pallet locations and report findings and scans to lead for further verification Bins Fill bins with product and await sample run and approval from MPC. Make any modification, or change products if requested. Break down and remove boxes, cardboard, and/or trash from the line. Once a line is filled and stocked, start setup on next line End of shift (Pick up) Return all resources to proper locations by clearing bins. This requires manually counting the quantity that is being returned, logging it. Report variances to Material Handler or lead. (scan gun, flex and traffic) Log and tag all partial boxes in a clear matter using red tape. Assist Material Handler in removal of unused items and resources to original boxes. No exposed products may be left on the floor. Verify line and surrounding area to ensure all resources, bins, and items have been cleared and stored correctly. Other Duties May be asked by lead or supervisor to assist on the line when necessary. May be required to assist different departments in the breakdown of boxes, palletizing, or scanning of products. May be required to work longer hours than most departments due to the set up and breakdown of the lines daily. EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma and warehouse experience preferred, 6 months to 1 year in manufacturing environment Training Requirements To perform this job assignment an individual must meet the required job specific training located in the Training Register. Language Skills Must be able to read, communicate and comprehend English. Mathematical Skills Employee must have the ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide by multiples of 10's and 100's. Person must be able to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume and distance. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardizes situations with only occasional or no variables. Ability to read, memorize codes and multitask. Must be able to differentiate colors, shapes, and textures. Other Skills & Abilities Must have good computer skills, knowledge of flex, internet, outlook, and excel. Good verbal, written and spoken communications skills. Must be proficient in solving problems, analyzing situations, auditing codes, verifying numbers, and letter to identify variables. Employee must be able to work with minimum or no supervision.
