Light & Medium Duty Diesel Technician - 1+ yrs experience required

Huckstorf Diesel is currently seeking a professional Diesel Vehicle Technician in Franklin, WI to join our team! Serving the greater Milwaukee area, we have become a staple in our region for diesel vehicle service and repair needs. Technicians will diagnose, adjust, repair, and maintain light and medium duty diesel vehicles. We have an opening for someone with GM Duramax, Dodge / Ram Cummins, Ford Power Stroke, Volkswagen TDI, or general light and medium duty diesel truck experience. Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair diesel pickup trucks, medium duty vehicles, and diesel cars. Install EPA compliant aftermarket performance upgrades such as exhaust systems, computer chips and programmers, gauge installations, and much more. Advanced diesel engine repairs and or replacements. Repair brake systems, steering systems, and drive line repairs. Qualifications: Previous experience as an automotive technician, mechanic Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Deadline and detail-oriented Technicians choose their own schedules and enjoy working in a year round clean and temperature controlled shop. Saturdays and later hours are optional. A simple IRA plan is available after a probationary period with a 5% company match. Standard paid holidays. We pay a stipend to use toward health insurance; currently it is $700 per month for a family. That is reviewed yearly to stay current with the industry costs. Vacation time starts at a week after the first year, 8 days after the second year, two weeks after the third year, and then builds to a maximum of four weeks. Technicians are paid according to the number of hours billed in that pay period. A flat rate based pay system is used where the labor guide is not the bible and favors the technician. Pay rate will vary with experience and qualifications. There is plenty of work for a motivated technician to do very well here! Work is backed up for two weeks. We are a family run business. Compensation: A Level Technician Pay Range: $77,350 - 150,000+/year plus bonuses available! Flat-rate pay structure, and incentive program based on hours flagged. Employees paid biweekly. Pay rate is $35 to $60 per hour base pay before incentives and benefits. Incentive plan: Up to 79.9 hours billed in a pay period = base pay. 80.1-90 billed hours in two week pay period earns an additional $7.00 an hour 90.1-100 flagged an additional $8.00 an hour 100.1-110 flagged an additional $9.00 an hour 110.1+ flagged an additional $10.00 an hour. Incentive is paid for every hour paid for the entire two weeks. Example, for someone earning $35 per hour and books 85 hours, they get paid $42 x 85. If you book 111 hours you would be paid $45 x 111. An A level technician is experienced and is the person who is training others, not the one being trained. Everyone needs help sometimes, and as a team we all contribute ideas if needed. The level A tech is a leader and typically operates without guidance. How much you earn is up to you. If you put in the time and work hard there are no limits on earnings. B Level Technician Pay Range: $56,550 - $77,350/year Hourly position that moves into flat-rate when the technician is ready. Flat-rate structure is based on flagged hours. Employees paid biweekly. Pay rate is $25 to $35 per hour. Incentive plan: Up to 79.9 hours billed in a pay period = base pay. 80.1-90 billed hours in two week pay period earns an additional $7.00 an hour 90.1-100 flagged an additional $8.00 an hour 100.1-110 flagged an additional $9.00 an hour 110.1+ flagged an additional $10.00 an hour Incentive is paid for every hour paid for the entire two weeks.
