In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely towing, transporting, and recovering light-duty vehicles, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and other light-duty tow vehicles, to recover and transport vehicles efficiently. Perform basic mechanical vehicle repairs and troubleshooting to assess vehicle condition before towing. Secure vehicles onto tow trucks following cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit. Conduct vehicle diagnostics to identify mechanical issues and determine appropriate recovery or repair actions. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining procedures, and ensuring a positive experience. Follow all safety procedures for vehicle loading, unloading, and roadside recovery to maintain a safe work environment. Assist with minor mechanical repairs on vehicles when necessary, utilizing mechanical knowledge and tools. Maintain accurate records of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and service reports for operational transparency. Will have to be on call for night and weekend shifts Experience Proven experience in automotive diagnostics, repair, or mechanic work is highly desirable. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving is preferred. Familiarity with flatbed tow trucks and vehicle recovery towing techniques. Knowledge of cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks. Strong understanding of automotive mechanics for truck drivers, including minor mechanical repairs and troubleshooting. Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations professionally. Prior experience in customer service within automotive or roadside assistance environments is a plus.
