For additional information about our company, visit our website at www.fisherind.com POSITION SCOPE The Light Duty Fleet Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and minor to major repairs on company fleet vehicles throughout the Southwest region. This position ensures all fleet vehicles remain safe, reliable, and compliant with company standards by identifying and addressing maintenance and repair needs during scheduled service intervals. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Ford and Chevrolet vehicles and be capable of troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems. The Light Duty Fleet Mechanic must comply with all Federal, state, and company safety regulations while operating vehicles and performing work. Extensive travel throughout Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Texas is required . PRIMARY DUTIES Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, air conditioning, mechanical, and other vehicle systems. Inspect vehicles to identify additional maintenance or repair requirements. Maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance, and repair activities. Communicate equipment deficiencies, maintenance concerns, and safety issues to supervisors and team members. Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and environmental regulations. Operate company vehicles and equipment in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. REQUIREMENTS Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record. Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a mechanic in an automotive, truck, fleet, or heavy equipment environment preferred. Working knowledge of Ford and Chevrolet vehicles required. Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle systems and components. Must provide and maintain personal mechanic tools. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and job site conditions. Ability to travel extensively and work out of town for extended periods. Ability to work night shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed. Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
