Licensed Practical Nurse - Crisis Receiving & Stabilization Center (Overnight)
New River Valley Community Services***This position is for OVERNIGHTS*** New River Valley Community Services is searching for a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Crisis Receiving & Stabilization Center! Within this intensive LPN role, the LPN would manage psychiatric nursing services and medication services for crisis stabilization program clients. The LPN would assist clients in obtaining medication requests through state pharmacies or other programs and monitor clients’ responses to prescribed medications. The LPN would also ensure that psychiatrists and/or nurse practitioners have accurate information regarding client responses and difficulties related to prescribed medications. It is also crucial for the LPN to instruct other program staff on the use of psychotropic medication with mentally ill and co-occurring mental health/substance use populations. Starting Salary Range: $23.51 - $27.04 hourly-depending on education and experience Education/Experience Required: Graduate of an approved School of Nursing is required. Must have a valid Virginia Licensed Practical Nurse License. Additional compensation will be considered for any new employees who speak multiple languages.
