Licensed Customs Broker (Remote, Mandarin Preferred)
ConfidentialAbout Us Empress Brokers International is a licensed U.S. customs brokerage built around one idea: compliance starts at origin. We work upstream with shippers and platforms to get data, classification, and documentation right before cargo moves, so clearance at the border is clean and predictable. Our goal is to keep non-compliant shipments at origin and give compliant imports a faster, cleaner path into the United States. We're part of the SafePackage and International Bridge family, which handles high-volume cross-border e-commerce for some of the world's largest retailers. That gives you scale and resources, with the focus and pace of a growing brokerage. The rules for low-value shipments have changed fast, and more change is coming. Those changes are driving demand for compliance-first brokerage like ours. We're looking for a broker who sees that as an opportunity to build things right. If you speak Mandarin, that's a real asset here. You'll work directly with origin partners to solve compliance issues at the source. The Role You'll be a licensed broker focused on compliance, client partnerships, and building the brokerage. You'll support our entry writers through review, training, and mentoring, and handle entries that need a broker's judgment. Once you're settled in, your work expands into compliance strategy, working with clients and origin partners, and designing the processes behind a growing operation, including new entry processes for high-volume, low-value shipments. We're looking for someone who takes initiative and engages fully in the work. As the brokerage expands, so will the opportunities to grow your role. How We Work Our brokers, entry writers, classification specialists, and operations team work closely together, and each relies on the others to get every shipment right. We share knowledge openly, raise issues early, and solve problems as a team. Clear communication and collaboration are central to how we operate. We’re a team of good people who genuinely care about each other and the work we do, and it shows in how we support one another every day.
