The Legal Counsel will serve as a key legal partner to the U.S. business, with a primary focus on commercial contracts and sales enablement for Purolator International. This role balances practical, solution‑oriented legal advice with an enterprise‑wide and global perspective to help the business achieve its objectives while proactively managing legal and regulatory risk. The position supports both U.S. and international operations, working closely with our Canadian Legal team as part of an integrated North American legal function. What Sets This Role Apart High‑impact partnership with Sales and business leadership; exposure to U.S. and global operations in a complex, regulated industry; opportunity to influence outcomes in a growth‑oriented, customer‑driven Pursuit of Premium organization; broad scope with meaningful autonomy and visibility Responsibilities Commercial Contracts & Sales Support Partner closely with Sales to onboard new customers and retain/grow existing business, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating customer agreements and responding to legal provisions in RFPs. Draft, review, and update a wide range of commercial agreements, including those with carriers, brokers, consultants, licensors, and commercial lessors. Collaborate with the Legal Sales Contracts team in Canada to maintain and enhance standard form agreements and terms and conditions of service. Manage and prioritize a high volume of contractual work to support time‑sensitive sales initiatives across the organization. Provide practical, business‑focused legal guidance that supports revenue growth while protecting the company. Compliance & Corporate Governance Review and evaluate compliance matters across the business. Interact with state and federal agencies to ensure corporate filings and registrations are current.
