As an OTR Lease-on Operator, you will operate a cargo van equipped for general freight, delivering goods across regional and national routes. Responsibilities Safely operate a Cargo Van that will be leased to you by the company for over-the-road (OTR) routes while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Plan and navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency. Ensuring cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit. Transport hazardous materials when necessary, following hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, inspections, and deliveries in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit. Qualifications 1 to 2 years of proven experience in commercial truck driving, box truck or cargo van operation. 3 years of clean driving records with no accident. And a clean criminal background. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning for efficient OTR driving experience. Speak English and Spanish Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods transportation. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as manual handling of freight and equipment safely. Excellent driving records with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service.
