About the Team The Logistics team keeps materials, equipment, and vehicles moving safely and efficiently across Lucid’s manufacturing and support network. The team partners with Production, Engineering, Warehousing, Testing, and supplier-facing groups to maintain reliable material flow and minimize operational disruption. Team members combine hands-on transportation expertise with disciplined request management, real-time communication, and a strong commitment to safety. The environment is collaborative and fast-moving, with shared accountability for service levels, asset protection, and production continuity. About the Role The Lead Logistics Driver is a lead-level individual contributor who reports to a Logistics Manager. This role exists to coordinate daily driver workload while safely executing high-priority transportation and material-movement requests across company facilities and external locations. Success will be measured through reliable completion of requests, accurate status reporting, adherence to transportation and safety requirements, and timely escalation of constraints. Unlike a comparable driving role, this position combines commercial driving and material-handling responsibilities with operational leadership, Jira-based workload coordination, performance reporting, and cross-functional decision-making in an automotive manufacturing environment. What You Own Workload Prioritization: Coordinate the team’s Jira queue, assign and reprioritize transportation requests, and make day-to-day sequencing decisions that protect production continuity and service commitments. Transportation Execution: Complete scheduled and on-demand moves between company facilities and external locations, ensuring materials, equipment, battery packs, vehicles, and other company assets arrive safely and on time. Service Performance: Monitor and report request progress, constraints, service-level adherence, ticket aging, backlog, and time-to-resolution trends, and recommend corrective actions when performance is at risk. Safety Compliance: Make go/no-go decisions based on shipment readiness, load securement, vehicle condition, route conditions, and regulatory requirements, and stop or escalate work when safe execution cannot be assured. Stakeholder Alignment: Provide clear status updates, estimated arrival times, route changes, and delivery risks to Logistics leadership and internal customers so they can make informed operating decisions. Asset Protection: Oversee safe loading, handling, transport, and unloading practices and drive resolution of issues that could result in damage, loss, or operational disruption. Operational Improvement: Use approved routing, telematics, and logistics tools to identify opportunities to reduce delays, fuel use, r…
