Defense Logistics AgencyDuties Serves as a working leader over other employees and concurrently performs identical duties. Distributes and balances the workload among employees in accordance with established workflow and assures timely accomplishment of the assigned workload. Instructs employees in specific tasks and job techniques and makes available written instructions, reference materials and supplies. Gives on the job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices. Performs research and analysis when discrepancies are identified because of physical inventories. Assists with investigations when recording imbalances, losses, and/or Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDRs) problems related to lost material. Determines the cause of record imbalances through collection, analysis, and evaluation of factors contributing to the inventory adjustment. Conducts research, coordinates cost estimates and disposition instructions to appropriate work activities, commands, Inventory Control Points (ICPs) and stock readiness personnel. Education: As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-07 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Investigating and analyzing inventory and distribution information to determine the cause of record imbalances. Conducting physical inventories and adjusting or maintaining stock by utilizing knowledge of supply regulations, policies and procedures. Preparing and presenting recommendations and reports regarding conducted analysis and evaluation.
