Security Engineers, IncLead Supervisor - Security Communications Center (Dispatch / Alarm / CCTV) Pay Rate: $27.19/hour Employment Type: Full-Time | Pay Basis: Hourly | FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Role: The ComSec Lead Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation of the ComSec department, overseeing ComSec Operators and Supervisors and reporting directly to the Site Manager on issues affecting the operation. This position requires vigilance, sound judgment, and the ability to lead a 24-hour emergency dispatch team, including monitoring alarm and CCTV systems, dispatching police, fire, and security units, and managing incoming emergency and non-emergency calls. Strong leadership, communication, and multi-tasking skills are essential. Minimum Qualifications: Must have or be able to obtain a BSIS Security Guard Registration (“Guard Card”) or have an ACE Card. Minimum age 18 years. Able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout an assigned shift. Customer service experience and a professional, service-oriented approach. Duties & Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day activities of the ComSec department Monitor the job performance of ComSec Operators and Supervisors to identify improvements or take corrective action Review payroll timesheets to ensure accuracy Recommend and issue formal progressive discipline to subordinates and necessary Provide on-the-job and other training to new and current ComSec personnel Advise employees, vendors, and visitors of corporate security policies Handle incoming minor and major emergency phone and radio calls for assistance Monitor a local/national central burglary and fire alarm systems via stat-of-the are computer equipment and software applications Handle high incoming call volume while mult-tasking with other job functions Monitor a 100+ acre facility via a state of-the-art CCTV system Dispatch police, fire, and/or security patrol units in response to silent/ringing alarms and requests for assistance Perform routine test diagnostics of all equipment, systems, and field devices for proper operation, and place service calls as needed Maintain a central service call log of all related equipment and systems nationally Process requests for employee card access privileges nationally via the central card holder database Conduct regular emergency drills simulation a major emergency or catastrophic event in a large corporate environment Required Skills & Abilities Minimum: Critical thinking and complex problem-solving ability Ability to learn specialized software applications and restricted areas of multiple facilities to recognize a security breach Strong situational awareness, observation skills, and attention to detail Sound judgment and de-escalation skills, remaining calm and decisive during critical incidents Strong written and verbal communication skills, including clear, professional interaction with employees, visitors, client personnel, and responding law enforcement or emergency responders Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Experience with WinTeam Software Bilingual Minimum Physical Requirements With or Without Reasonable Accommodation (subject to change based on client-specific needs): Stand, sit, stoop, bend and walk regularly for up to 8-12 hours per shift Climb up to 3 flights of stairs Use body members to work, move, or carry objects or materials Exert up to fifty pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty pounds frequently California Fair Chance Notice: Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered in a manner consistent with the California Fair Chance Act Conditions of Employment Employment is contingent on satisfactory completion of a post-offer background investigation and a drug screen.
