Lead Forklift Operator & Woodshop Production Assistant

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and highly experienced Lead Forklift Operator & Woodshop Assistant to join our team in Cornelius, NC. This is a specialized dual-role requiring years of proven forklift experience handling heavy, oversized materials and the physical stamina to manage materials in an active production environment. Please Note Before Applying: The 4-Day Lifestyle Schedule: We operate on a strict, consistent schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, 4 days a week (32 hours total per week) . This offers an excellent work-life balance with regular 3-day weekends. This hours-cap is standard. Do not apply if you strictly require 40+ hours or mandatory overtime. Safety Screening: A pre-employment drug screening is required for this position due to the operation of forklifts and industrial woodshop machinery. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Advanced Forklift Operation: Safely load, unload, and transport heavy, wide bundles of plywood on and off delivery trucks. Warehouse Organization: Precision-stack large, heavy bundles of plywood flat on the warehouse floor, maximizing space while maintaining strict safety standards. Woodshop Production: Assist with material preparation and learn the use of various woodworking machinery, including operating a modern router. Inventory Control: Verify load counts and inspect incoming materials for damage. Requirements & Qualifications Forklift Experience: Proven experience maneuvering large, wide, and heavy loads (like plywood bundles) in tight warehouse spaces. Machinery Comfort: Willingness and capability to operate and learn the use of various woodworking machinery. Physical Stamina: Ability to consistently lift, push, pull, and carry individual boards weighing up to 75 pounds throughout the day. Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual, and a team-player attitude. Safety Mindset: A spotless safety record regarding heavy equipment operation.
