Lead Fleet Maintenance Mechanic
Pinnacle Fulfillment<Job Overview> We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to oversee and coordinate the maintenance, repair, and servicing of our diverse fleet of 12' / 14' box trucks (gas), 26' box trucks (diesel) and sprinter vans (gas). This dynamic role requires a proactive leader with extensive mechanical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for ensuring operational excellence. As the Lead Mechanic, you will perform routine preventative maintenance, repairs, ensure all work is documented and reported weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ensure drivers consistently perform prechecks. Guide a team of drivers, uphold safety standards, and ensure all equipment operates at peak performance to support our operational goals. <Schedule> Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM <Responsibilities> Manage all aspects of fleet maintenance and compliance Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on gas and diesel box trucks and vans Provide mobile mechanic services as needed for trucks on the road Conduct fabrication and custom modifications using power tools and welding equipment to meet operational needs Interpret schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, air brakes, suspension systems, HVAC units, and diesel engines Oversee preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain detailed maintenance records for all fleet assets Coordinate with operations teams to prioritize repairs and manage parts inventory efficiently <Skills> Extensive experience with maintaining box truck equipment, especially GMC's, Freightliners and Mercedes - especially oil changes, brakes, calipers, electrical, safety equipment, tire maintenance, etc. Proficient in automotive diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, schematics interpretation, and assembly processes Mechanical knowledge related to transmissions, brake repair (including air brakes), suspension systems, shocks & struts repair Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members Strong relationship with specialty mechanics for work that can not be completed outside of a professional shop Join us as a Lead Fleet Maintenance Mechanic if you’re ready to lead with expertise in fleet maintenance and repair while ensuring safety standards are met.
