Lead Expeditor (Expo) | High-Volume All-Day Café | Culver City La Costa Hospitality LLC is hiring an Expeditor for our high-volume, all-day café in Culver City, a California-inspired breakfast and lunch spot. We're open 8am to 3pm, seven days a week. Expo is the link between our kitchen and our front of house. You own the pass: every plate that leaves the kitchen goes through you, and you make sure it's right. This role needs someone who knows the menu well and understands how a kitchen runs. Responsibilities Read and manage incoming tickets from dine-in, to-go and delivery (Toast, DoorDash, Uber Eats), and call timing to the line so orders go out together Check every plate for accuracy, presentation and temperature before it leaves the pass Match the correct sauces and garnishes to every plate Pack and check to-go and delivery orders for accuracy and completeness Track kitchen flow, including cook times, morning fresh prep and low counts, and let the kitchen and manager know before an item runs out Answer runner and guest questions about the menu, allergens, and which modifications the kitchen can accept Communicate delays to the manager on duty right away Share cashier duties on weekdays alongside the barista team Set up, stock and break down the expo station, and keep it clean and sanitized through service Support FOH and BOH teammates as needed Schedule Must be available Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday A fifth day may be needed Day shifts only, between 7am and 4pm Requirements English and Spanish speaking preferred Expo, line cook, server or runner experience in a high-volume restaurant or café (preferred) Strong menu and allergen knowledge, or the ability to learn it quickly Stays organized and communicates clearly under pressure Able to stand for a full shift and lift up to 50 lbs Valid California Food Handler Card (or obtained within 30 days of hire) Pay and Benefits $19.00 - 24.00 per hour plus tips (tip pool) A defined growth path with other FOH roles Shift meal and staff discount Full-time How to Apply Apply through this posting with your resume.
