Lead Dispatcher - Regional Bulk Doubles

VPT Inc. is looking for an experienced Lead Dispatcher to manage our California–Arizona regional bulk doubles division. This position oversees up to 20 drivers and is responsible for coordinating daily loads, managing equipment, and maintaining strong relationships with our customers. We're looking for someone who understands agricultural trucking, takes ownership of their work, and can keep trucks moving efficiently while helping us grow the division. Responsibilities Coordinate daily loads directly with customers, pickup locations, and drivers. Schedule primary loads and backhauls to maximize truck utilization and weekly earnings. Supervise drivers and address daily operational and performance issues. Ensure loads are properly entered, documented, and ready for billing. Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager regarding load coverage, customer needs, and operational issues. Coordinate with the swing-shift dispatcher on pending loads and evening operations. Build customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional freight on existing routes. Ensure proper equipment placement and resolve scheduling or service issues as they arise. Requirements Experience dispatching agricultural trucking operations. Fluent in English and Spanish. Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail. Ability to manage drivers, make decisions, and work independently. Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership of the division. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Available Monday–Saturday, including early mornings and weekends as needed.
