Lead Director, Digital Product – Clinic Operations and Ambulatory Workflows Location: Remote with ~ quarterly travel Department: Healthcare Technology & Product Management Reports To: Senior Medical Director, Clinical Informatics & Digital Product Role Overview As the Lead Director of Digital Product for Clinic Operations and Ambulatory Workflows you will lead the technology product strategy and execution for core clinical care delivery products, including core in-clinic and virtual care encounters, in-basket management, and inventory management. In this high-impact role, you will partner directly with clinical and business operational leaders to shape end-to-end technology pathways that support the delivery of safe, high quality outpatient care. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of product managers, Epic analysts, software engineers, data scientists, and UI/UX designers to translate clinical vision into scalable technology roadmaps that optimize patient outcomes, with an emphasis on safety, a delightful patient and care team experience, and lowering the total cost of care. The candidate must have expertise with value-based care models and Epic as a core care delivery platform. Key Responsibilities Strategic Business Partnership & Care Model Integration Partner with healthcare delivery leadership to collaborate on end-to-end care models to ensure the execution of efficient and safe care delivery in an outpatient setting, while also reducing administrative burden for the care team. Technology should enable and enhance both the patient and provider experience, resulting in excellent staff retention and patient satisfaction. Serve as a strategic thought partner for CVS HCD business stakeholders as they define the "why" and the "what’ for care model strategy. Drive cross-functional technology teams that surface technology solutions to enable care model strategy and drive end-to-end execution of technology products. Establish shared outcome metrics with business leaders, ensuring all technology investments directly drive improved clinical quality, patient experience, and financial performance. Product & Technology Leadership Lead multidisciplinary technology teams —including Product Managers, Epic Analysts, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and Designers—to build seamless, end-to-end clinical technology pathways that reduce medical costs, while driving patient experience and outcomes. Oversee the transformation of broad clinical ideas into rigorous problem statements, actionable product specifications, and robust Epic/technology architectures. Accountable for end-to-end technology design, translation into technical requirements, and technology build. Ensure smooth integration between external data sources (e.g., claims data, remote monitoring, health plan feeds) and internal Epic workflows to provide clinicians with real-time, actionable insights. Know when these integrations are needed and partner with technical team members to ensure effective execution that works well in clinical practice. Operational Execution & Continuous Improvement Take end-to-end accountability for the technology lifecycle, from initial problem discovery through technical solutioning, build, deployment, and measurable outcome realization. Establish continuous feedback loops and iterative improvement cycles to ensure deployed technologies achieve targeted clinical and financial goals.
