White Pine Freight LLC – Amazon Freight Partner Location: Shakopee, MN Pay: $25–$30 per hour | 40 - 60 hours per week | Additional earning opportunities Schedule: Primarily local, with occasional 5-day regional routes Job Description HOME MOST NIGHTS | 40 HOURS MOST WEEKS | $25–$30/HR | NEW AMAZON TRUCKS | LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY White Pine Freight LLC is hiring an experienced Class A CDL driver for a unique position combining lead driver responsibilities, driver training, and yard operations at our Amazon Freight Partner operation based in Shakopee, Minnesota. We're a locally owned transportation company operating exclusively within Amazon's transportation network. Our fleet consists of brand-new 2027 Amazon-branded sleeper tractors hauling no-touch, drop-and-hook freight. This is not a traditional full-time driving position. Most weeks, you'll work 40 hours locally, helping train drivers, manage trucks and equipment, and drive locally on Saturdays and Sundays. Occasionally, you'll also cover regional driving routes when needed. These routes last five days and typically involve 60–70 hours on the road. We're looking for an experienced, safety-minded driver who enjoys helping other drivers succeed, understands trucks, and takes pride in keeping an operation running smoothly. The Schedule Most weeks: Local work, 40 hours Work primarily at our Shakopee truck parking yard and drive locally 2 days / week Return home most nights Support driver training, equipment preparation, and yard operations Work directly with our Operations Manager Occasionally: 5-day regional driving routes Cover routes when another driver is unavailable or additional coverage is needed Spend four nights in an Amazon sleeper tractor Return home at the end of the five-day route Work approximately 60–70 hours during these assignments This position offers a more predictable local schedule than traditional regional trucking, while still providing opportunities to get out on the road and earn additional income. Lead Driver & Driver Training Help onboard and train new CDL drivers Conduct behind-the-wheel training, ride-alongs, and driving evaluations Coach drivers on safe driving techniques, backing, parking, and coupling/uncoupling trailers 2. Yard Operations & Equipment Help maintain an organized, clean, safe, and professional truck parking yard Move and position tractors as needed Inspect trucks and identify maintenance or repair needs Coordinate basic equipment readiness, including fluids, tire pressure, and supplies Assist with basic maintenance tasks within your experience and capabilities 3. Regional Driving & Operations Support Occasionally drive five-day regional routes within Amazon's transportation network Transport no-touch, drop-and-hook freight between Amazon facilities Cover driving assignments when other drivers are unavailable 4. Local Driving on Weekends Drive locally on Saturdays and Sundays, hauling Amazon freight Transport no-touch, drop-and-hook freight between Amazon facilities What We're Looking For Required: Valid Class A CDL Ability to meet DOT driver qualification requirements Safe driving record Experience operating Class A tractor-trailers Strong backing and maneuvering skills Willingness to occasionally drive five-day regional routes Safety-first mindset and professional attitude Comfortable performing hands-on yard and equipment work Reliable, organized, and able to work independently Preferred: Experience training or mentoring other CDL drivers Experience with sleeper tractors and regional trucking Knowledge of DOT inspections and basic truck maintenance Experience working with Amazon…
