Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Lead Carpenter / Master Craftsman to join our dynamic construction team. In this pivotal role, you will lead residential and commercial carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring craftsmanship excellence, safety, and timely completion. Your expertise will drive high-quality results while mentoring junior team members and collaborating closely with clients, project managers, and suppliers. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate all aspects of carpentry projects, including framing, trim work, drywall installation, stucco application, and fixture mounting Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of project specifications Operate hand tools, power tools for woodworking, woodworking machines, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently Manage material procurement, including wood construction materials, rebar for reinforcement, metal studs, and other building supplies Supervise on-site activities to maintain safety standards with a focus on power tool safety protocols and hazard prevention Perform remodeling tasks such as door hanging, plastering, caulking, rebar installation, drywall finishing, and restoration work Train and mentor apprentice carpenters or junior crew members to uphold quality standards and promote skill development Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, drywall finishing, and remodeling projects Strong background in residential carpentry with knowledge of woodworking techniques and woodworking machines Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and construction plans accurately for diverse project requirements Hands-on experience with power tools for woodworking and hand tools essential for precise craftsmanship Knowledge of construction site safety practices including power tool safety regulations Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks Experience in the restoration industry or handyman work is a plus; familiarity with metal stud framing is advantageous Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to project challenges Join us to craft exceptional spaces while advancing your career in a supportive environment that values craftsmanship excellence.
