Lead Carpenter / Installation & Operations Manager

Ship Shape Retractable Screens & Awnings is a growing company specializing in retractable motorized screens and awnings. We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and highly skilled carpenter to take on a leadership role overseeing installations, project management, team operations, and warehouse organization. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, natural leader, and hands-on problem solver who takes pride in quality workmanship and can confidently manage projects from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Project Management & Installations Lead and oversee retractable screen and awning installations. Manage projects from preparation through completion, ensuring quality workmanship. Troubleshoot installation challenges and develop effective solutions. Coordinate installation schedules, materials, and equipment. Ensure projects are completed efficiently and professionally. Team Leadership Lead, train, and supervise installation crew members. Delegate tasks and maintain productivity on job sites. Maintain high standards for workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction. Serve as the primary point of contact for field operations. Warehouse & Inventory Management Oversee warehouse organization, inventory, and equipment. Coordinate incoming deliveries and prepare materials for upcoming installations. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles. Ensure materials are properly accounted for and job sites are adequately supplied. Qualifications Strong carpentry, construction, and installation experience required. Experience managing projects and leading a team preferred. Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to read measurements, work with precision, and troubleshoot independently. Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented. Strong communication and leadership skills. Comfortable working with tools, ladders, and outdoor installation environments. Experience with retractable screens, awnings, or similar products is a plus, but not required. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience. Performance-based bonus opportunities.
