Lead Barista

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and well-rounded Lead Barista to join our coffee shop team. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for coffee and a commitment to creating an exceptional customer experience. As the Lead Barista, you will guide and inspire our team in crafting high-quality beverages while maintaining a welcoming and well-cared-for space. This role offers flexible scheduling, with availability ranging from part-time to full-time hours, typically between 20 to 40 hours per week. Responsibilities Lead daily operations of the coffee bar, ensuring consistency and quality in every cup. Guide and mentor team members in coffee preparation, customer service, and store procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting workspace that reflects care for the environment. Engage with customers to provide excellent service and foster a positive atmosphere. Oversee inventory management and assist with stock replenishment as needed. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards. Assist with training new staff members and support ongoing team development. Utilize POS systems such as Square or Shift 4; experience with these tools is a plus. Qualifications Passion for coffee and a strong interest in specialty beverages. Minimum of 6 months experience previously as a barista in a craft coffee shop. Demonstrated leadership skills or experience leading a team is advantageous. Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor. High part-time or full-time availability (20-40 hours per week). Basic familiarity with POS systems like Square or Shift 4 is a plus but not required.
