What we are looking for: Grammer is looking for a Launch Material Planner to join our location in Tupelo, MS. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team environment. This individual will have an opportunity to make lasting and positive changes in our team! Maintain direct contact with the customer to meet the requirements and specifications of the logistics, organize the information and expose those involved. Check the customer’s demand against the capacity of the line to determine possible risks in compliance with the delivery plan. Manage supply of materials and supplies Work together with the planners, traffic and import logistics, finance, to quote the logistics chain of a new product. Follow the imports of raw material, from the supplier to the plant. Quote and negotiate better rates with national and international transportation providers. What are your qualifications? Experience in automotive industry. Knowledge of imports, exports, customs law, NAFTA, and transportation market. Knowledge of SAP system. Experience negotiating with suppliers of goods and services. Leadership and the ability to work under pressure. Ability to develop and manage internal and external relationships. Computer skills and experience utilizing excel. Excellent communication skills Degree preferred, ideally in Supply Chain or related field. 2-4 years of previous experience as planner Experience working with automotive customers Experience with launching new product lines And most importantly, what can you expect from us?
