Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Last Mile Box Truck Delivery Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties Safely operate a box truck for local deliveries, following planned routes and schedules. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or dollies. Ensure accurate delivery of parcels by verifying recipient information and obtaining signatures when required. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to confirm it is in safe working condition, including checking lights, tires, and fluid levels. Communicate effectively with dispatch using mobile devices to receive route updates or report issues. Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and safety protocols during all driving activities. Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with recipients, answering questions, and resolving minor delivery issues promptly. Qualifications Previous experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations is highly preferred. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) or commercial driving experience is a plus. Experience operating box trucks or vans, including manual transmission vehicles. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices during loading and unloading processes. Knowledge of route driving, material handling equipment operation (such as pallet jacks), and warehouse operations is advantageous. Familiarity with DOT regulations, weight handling in the workplace, and mobile devices for communication is desirable. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude; excellent navigation skills for route driving.
