Large Animal Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (Cattle Focus)

About the role Cottonwood Veterinary Clinic is looking for someone who knows cattle and enjoys working with the people who raise them. You'll be the clinic's point person for animal health products, building relationships with ranchers, dairies, feedlots, and feed and farm supply stores across the north state. You'll help producers choose the right vaccines, parasite control, and treatments for their herds, and keep our inventory stocked and current. If you've worked cattle, sold ag products, or grown up around a ranch and like talking shop, we'd like to hear from you. What you'll do: Build and maintain relationships with cattle producers, dairy and feedlot managers, and farm supply retailers Educate customers on vaccines, dewormers and parasiticides, antibiotics, implants, and other herd health products Work alongside our veterinarians on herd health programs, prescriptions, and Veterinary Feed Directives (VFDs) Meet with distributor and manufacturer reps and stay current on new products and label changes Occasionally travel to bull sales, ag meetings, and conferences Track inventory, sales, seasonal demand, and expiration dates Knowledgeable in lean inventory management, JIT ordering, and continuous improvement strategy Follow local market trends, competitor pricing, and seasonal needs (calving, weaning, preg-checking, turnout) Share customer feedback with clinic management to guide what we stock and how we serve producers What we're looking for Required: High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Comfortable around cattle and on ranches, feedlots, and sale yards Strong communication skills and the drive to grow a book of business Bonus Consideration: Experience in ranching, dairy, ag sales, a feed store, or a veterinary clinic Familiarity with cattle vaccination and treatment protocols, Beef Quality Assurance (BQA), or VFD rules Existing relationships with producers in the area Experience in sales, inventory management, and invoicing.
